Three Runs Plantation Equestrian Community is a pretty special community. It is an equestrian Community on the south side of Aiken and horses rule!

Three Runs offers 2400 acres with 30 miles of marked trails, The north side has a clubhouse at the entrance of Three Runs Plantation, with a full kitchen and a cozy sitting area with a fireplace.  The Clubhouse area also has an outdoor pavilion, pool & cabana.

It has a large jumping arena and a full size dressage arena with mirrors plus a grass riding area.  The “south complex” has an activity center,  another jumping and dressage arena with mirrors and a cross country field complete with a water obstacle.  The Activity center offers space for the regularly held fitness classes, meetings, presentations and also offers a fitness center.

The 30 miles of trails go through the community and on the perimeter. you will open areas, wooded/shaded trails, trails along the creek with picnic areas and optional jumps throughout.

The lots are typically 5 – 6 acres and some owners have multiple lots.  Most have their own horse barns on their property.  Some opt to use the community arenas, while others have their own arenas on their property.  Because of the great soil we have, some will use grass arenas and others have sand rings installed.  I believe, at the time I write this post, we have also 6 private, covered arenas in this community.

We pretty much cover all the disciplines in Three Runs.  We have dressage riders, jumpers, Eventers, trail riders, gaited horse, western, driving horses… we pretty much cover all breeds… TB’s, Warmbloods, ponies, draft horses, Arabians, Baroque horses, Paso Finos.   Some owners compete, others simply enjoy the trails and training their horses.  

You can always see a group of riders that got together to go on leisurely trail rides. 

In the meantime, the guys have a “Men’s Night” once a week at the clubhouse where they share their stories and get together for a variety of activities (like a BBQ or an outing) while some of the woman get together for occasional pot luck dinners.

If you need a hand with anything, you will have help.  Whether its a horse that got loose, a dog that took a trip through the farms or a cat that showed up and needs to be reunited with the owner.   In this community, our animals take priority.
